Feel Good Bath in January and February

January needn’t be dull – there’s still plenty to do after the Christmas fun in Bath!

A visit at this time of year is very good value (our rates are at their lowest for the year) and Bath is just as beautiful and interesting without the pre-Christmas crowds.

If relaxing in one of our luxurious, warm and cosy apartments isn’t enough of a temptation, here are a few ideas…

Winter Afternoon Park Tour at Dyrham Park

Blow away the cobwebs with a walk in Dyrham’s beautiful deer park and learn about the historic landscape with a Dyrham ranger guide.

Rodin exhibition at the Holburne Museum

This beautiful museum, just 5 minutes walk from Herschel Place always has interesting temporary exhibits (and a good café!) “Rodin Rethinking the Fragment” is this winter’s exhibition.

Veganuary?

There are restaurants for everyone in Bath and vegans and vegetarians needn’t feel left out. Try Roots & Shoots, Nourish, Sky Blue Café or Acorn. Lots of choice!

Fed Cup Tennis

International female tennis tournament at Bath University (a walk or a quick bus ride from both our apartments). 6th to 9th February. Tickets still available.

Winter sale at Kilver Court Designer Village

Up to 80% off designer names including Pringle, Joseph, LK Bennett, Sophie Conran. A 40 minute drive through beautiful Somerset countryside takes you to this very attractive shopping village set up by Roger Saul, founder of Mulberry and local organic spelt farmer. A good spot for some sales shopping and a very tasty lunch or afternoon tea in one of their atmospheric cafes.

Spa Themed Walking tour of Bath

Join an expert guide for a fascinating spa-themed walking tour of Bath. This free tour departs from outside the main Reception of Thermae Bath Spa and lasts approximately 1 ½ hours. No booking required.

Bath Comedy’s Feel Good Cabaret

An evening of comedy, music and magic designed to make you feel good in February! Thursday, 7th February in Widcombe (15-20 minutes walk from both apartments). Just over the river from the station, this is a villagey part of town, particularly popular with locals for it’s friendly restaurants and independent shops.

And of course, don’t forget the Spa!

Thermae Bath Spa is open throughout the winter (although please see their website for details of a partial closure for maintenance – and details of a compensatory free return visit…). Stay 3 midweek nights and we will give you free tickets for a 3 hour spa session – click here for details.
